The B & B is in Porto Torres in a residential area in the first floor of a lovely little house sea view, about 100 m. from the beach and from the Balai park. A wide panoramic terrace it’s available to have your breakfast enjoying the view of the beautiful Asinara Bay.
The B & B is very close to the City Centre and to the port. Alghero, its airport, and the beautiful beaches of Stintino are at only 20 minutes by car from Porto Torres. This pretty town, ancient Roman city (Turris Libissonis), is rich in archaeological sites, including the remains of the baths, the Roman Bridge and the Turritano Antiquarium. You can also visit the suggestive Basilica of San Gavino, built between the 1030 and the 1080 in the Romanesque-Pisano style; it’s the greatest Romanesque church in Sardinia. On the state highway 131, in a few kilometers from Porto Torres, you can admire the necropolis of "Su Crocifissu Mannu" and the prehistoric altar of ‘Monte d'Accoddi’, built during the recent Neolithic. The mystery of this monument that recalls the ziqqurath of the Middle East remains still today and it’s the only representation in Europe of this type of monuments. |
